The answer to your question can not be found on Quora. It can only be found in one place, your lease agreement. Most leases will have a clause about subletting or guest in your home. If your landlord did not put it in your lease then your brother can probably stay. I guess the only caveat would be that if its a shared lease check with who you sharing with and see if they care. Be a good roomy and dont offend.
