Can my landlord change the date on late rental payments after I?
A contract is a contract and unless you both signed an amendment to the lease it can not be changed. Now just cause the lease says up to say the 15th there wont be a late charge on your rent that is due on the 1st does not mean you should always wait until the 15th, always try for the first. Landlords have bills and other things they have to pay. Now you said new lease. If you mean the old lease said the 15th but the new lease says the 10th. You can either agree to the terms of the new lease or you can move. Now you can always ask the landlord to modify the new lease before you sign it. If they do or not is going to be based on how good of a tenant you were.
