Can a landlord make changes to a lease?
Yesif the tenant agrees to it in writing. Contracts wouldnt be contracts if one party could just unilaterally modify the terms without the consent of the other party. What would stop landlords from raising the rent by $100k? What would stop me from buying my friends used PlayStation and then changing the terms his house? Society would literally break. This is why its a basic contract principle that the parties agreed to be bound only by the terms in the contract they signed. Any new terms require consent from both parties.
