My lease agreement says "no caustic drain cleaners".?
Caustic drain cleaners that corrode or react with something. Almost every drain cleaner on the market falls in this category. When I see an agreement like that I would keep my hands off the plumbing period. Landlords are funny about plumbing as its responsible for most of their emergency calls. Let them deal with it.
