I've been subletting an apartment and the person under the lease wants it back before our stated signed agreement. what are my options? First you should establish if the person who leased you the apartment, had permission to do so. I do not allow any of my tenants to do this, for a variety of reasons, and their leases specifically prohibit any subletting. Your options at this point depend on what is required by all the documents involved.
