I want to evict my tenant for not paying rent but I found I have lost?

You should have copies of the receipts issued by you for money received hopefully. I had a separate receipt book for rent received. The original was given to the tenant and the copy remained in the receipt book. STating that you have your receipts for the time up to when he stopped paying may help you establish a lease, even if verbal. Failure of the tenant to produce receipts concerning the disputed times of non payment, will help in getting him out. consult a lawyer. If you also failed to issue receipts, you may be in for a good ride. Of course, leases do not generally get lost, but misplaced. Search again for the lease. Good luck
