Can you sue your landlord if he does not renew a lease agreement when?

In the USA anyone can sue anyone else for any reason; and I bet all you have to do is choose any lawyer from a number that pop up in any Internet search. If you have any chance to win, after you will probably spend a lot of money, that is a different issue. Did the landlord specifically say why he does not want to renew? he is under no obligation to say so. Second, even if he made it clear it is because you have health issues, is that illegal? I doubt it; being sick is not a protected right as far as I know, or at least I did not see it anywhere. Being disabled, now, that may be different. Might. He may deem you a high risk of non-payment, because of health issues - who knows. Perhaps you being sick has nothing to do with the landlords decision, perhaps it simply is in his best interest. Perhaps he wants to renovate and increase the rent. Perhaps he wants to get out of an unpredictable rental market and sell. Again, who knows. It is his property to do anything he wants with it. My opinion.
